Could your organization or event use some donation support? Good news! There is a great donation feature for the site that can be used with or without selling tickets! Compliment your ticket page with a donation fundraiser or simply fundraise without involving ticket features!
It's simple to set up get to get the fundraising started. When you are setting up a new event in the Dashboard you can choose if you want a "Donation Only Event". If you leave the answer to "No" the donation features will not be activated. If you choose "Yes" the Donation features will be activated and the ticket sales will be turned off.
If you want to add the donation features in addition to ticket sales that you will want to choose "Yes" in the Donations section of the event page set up (after you have created the new event). After choosing Yes. you will be given basic donation features that will be displayed both on the donation page of the checkout process as well as on a confirmation donation/ticket email that will be sent out after a user completes the process.

Just a heads up though that after you have published an event and have sold an event ticket you will not be able to activate Disable Ticket Types & Enable Donation Exclusive Event.
When creating a new event you have the choice of making the event Donation Only which will disable the event ticket page
In the Event Details page you can pull down "Yes" to set up Donations for your event.
Fill out the fields and your donation page will be ready for action!
